What are the ages of the campers?
Our camp is dedicated to developing camps for middle school students rising in grades 6 - 9.
Where is the camp located?
Summer Cove partners with Oakwood School in Annandale to provide camps for the summer. The address is 7210 Braddock Rd, Annandale, VA 22003.
What are the times of the camps?
Camp runs from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday. Drop-off begins at 9:00 AM.
Do you offer morning care?
In the past, we have offered morning care. However, due to logistics in our new location, we will not be able to offer morning care moving forward. Parents can drop off campers starting at 9:00 AM.
Do you offer aftercare?
Yes! Aftercare is available from 3:45 - 5:00 PM for $15/day. All children not picked up by 3:45 PM are considered to be in aftercare. This is billed at the end of the week so that parents are only charged for the days that they need.
What is the price of each camp?
Prices vary depending on the type of camp in which you are enrolling your child. Prices can be found right beside the camp's description on the 2024 Camps.
Do you offer a discount?
We offer a 10% sibling discount of your total cost if you have more than one child attending camp in one given week. On our registration system, this will be applied as 20% off the second child's camp, which is equivalent to 10% off the entire purchase.
What is the average camp size?
Camp sizes range from 10 - 18 campers depending on the camp. Our goal is to keep our camps small in order to engage individual campers more frequently. However, the entire camp does spend time together throughout the day during breaks and lunch.
Is lunch provided?
No, Summer Cove does not provide lunch for campers. Please send your child to camp each day with a lunch and snacks as we take a handful of breaks throughout the day and stop for lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.
I just registered my child online, what now?
The last step is that we will send you a one-time Registration Fee of $30. After that, you are all set!
I signed my child up, but I need to cancel.
If for any reason you need to withdraw from a camp at least one month in advance, you will receive 80% of the camp fee back (not including the $30 registration fee). If you withdraw your child after that, you will receive 50% of your camp fee back (not including the $30 registration fee).
When is the deadline to register?
Parents/Guardians are able to register their child for camp by Wednesday of the week prior to the start of the desired camp.
My child is a returning camper, but I see that the camps are similar to years prior. Will they be doing the same activities?
Although we offer similar camps each year, the activities vary from summer to summer. This is because we have different teachers rotate through these camps to offer new exciting activities for that camp. We try to not repeat too many activities across the summer as well to keep things fresh and exciting!
