Our registration is through Google forms and you can click here to access it. Please feel free to email if you have any questions about the registration process.
When is the latest I can register my child?
Parents/Guardians can register their child up until the weekend before the camp session starts (ex: if you want to register your child for a camp Week 2: July 17th - July 21st, you would need to register by July 15th). A new payment due date will be given to you when you register.
Where are you located?
Thanks to our friends over at the Howard Gardner School, we have a location for summer 2017! We are super excited to hold Summer Cove at this wonderful school. Their facilities are located at 4913 Franconia Rd, Alexandria, VA 22310. If you are interested in trying to find a carpool with other parents, click here and fill out the form.
What is the age range of campers?
Our camps are geared towards rising 6th - 9th graders. If you think your 5th/10th grader would benefit from coming to a camp or two over the summer, send me an email and we can talk!
What are the dates of the sessions?
Week One: July 10th - July 15th Week Two: July 17th - July 21st Week Three: July 24th - July 28th Week Four: July 31st - August 4th Week Five: August 7th - August 11th
What are the times of the camps?
Morning drop off starts at 8:30 AM and runs until 9:30 AM. Camps run from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM with a break for lunch at 12 PM. Lunch is not provided by the camp, so please send your child to camp with a packed lunch every day.
Do you offer an aftercare program?
Yes! For parents who need to pick up their child after 3:30 PM, we offer an aftercare program until 5:00 PM for $10 per day. Unless a camper is going to be in aftercare the entire week, parents must notify camp director by 12 PM the day of if their child is staying for aftercare. Activities for aftercare will vary each day, but will range from indoor gym time, outdoor activities, Mario Kart, board games/cards, etc.
I just registered my child, now what?
Great! Please allow 48 hours for the registration form to be processed by one of our staff who will send you a confirmation email with your payment information.
I have multiple children I want to register. Is there a discount?
There is a discount of $15 off each camp when you register more than one child in the same week. If you are confused about this policy, please feel free to email me.
Is Summer Cove co-ed?
Yes! Anyone and everyone is welcome at the Cove!
Are your teachers experienced?
All of our teachers have worked with children in some form and many of them are pursuing careers in education after graduating from college.
Will lunch or food be served?
Other than if your child is registered for a cooking or baking camp, food will not be given to them by the camp. Camps will break for lunch at 12 PM. Please send your child to camp with a packed lunch and a few snacks.
My child wanted to register for a camp, but it is full. Is there a waitlist?
Yes! If the camp your child desires is full, feel free to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add you to the waitlist. If more than 5 people are on the list, we will go ahead and try to open a second section of the camp.
