Week One: July 10th - July 14th
Do you like designing graphics? Are you interested in making YouTube videos? Digital Media is the perfect camp for those with a creative side when it comes to pixels and graphics. Spend the week learning how to use different products to create amazing digital works of art. Even if you have never done any kind of digital media, this camp will teach the basics of the Adobe Suite as well as practical uses for media such as advertising and marketing, website design, and much more!
Unique Sweets ** ($10 baking fee)
Calling anyone with a sweet tooth: Get ready to hack your kitchen to create amazing and decadent treats that will make your mouth smile! We will be using different kitchen appliances such as waffle irons, crockpots and coffee mugs to make unique sweets all week long. This camp is for anybody who wants to expand their baking skills, or just for somebody who loves to eat delicious treats! If you love to bake and love to eat even more, this is the perfect camp for you!
Hogwarts House Cup
ACCIO HOUSE CUP!! Whether you young wizards are in the Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Gryffindor house, there is no doubt that this is the perfect camp for you! Packed full of Harry Potter inspired activities and team challenges, campers will work together to earn house points throughout the week in attempt to win the coveted Hogwarts House Cup. Activities range from Quidditch matches to potion brewing (and maybe even a break for Butterbeer!)
Week Two: July 17th - July 21st
DIY Projects ** ($10 supply fee)
If it’s not already, Pinterest is about to become your best friend! Throughout the week, campers will use their crafty skills to construct both creative and useful projects ranging from Mason jar soap dispensers to T-Shirt bags and everything in-between. Feel free to bring your own ideas and we will see if we can DIY it before the week is over!
You might not be able to be the President just yet, but you can lead a whole new country in Conquest. For the week, we'll get into groups to create our own countries... but just like in the real world, new situations and crises will pop up and test us. What happens when your country is attacked by an enemy? What will you do when your country runs out of supplies? How will you keep your country thriving? Will your country fall or become the next greatest world super power.
Lights, camera, action! Get ready to learn how to make your own movies in this camp. We will learn how to write a script, set up a shot, and edit video in order to produce a short film by the end of the week. Campers will work in small teams to bring their ideas to life on the big screen and work with videographers in the field to learn how to shoot and edit properly.
Week Three: July 24th - July 28th
Think you’ve got an eye for photography? I’m not taking selfies, but setting up the perfect shot to capture a moment. In this camp, you will learn the basic functions of a camera along with composition tips to improve their photography skills. From aperture to shutter speed, you will learn one on one from a professional over the course of this week. **All campers must either have a digital camera or a smart phone that takes photos**
Edible Art ** ($10 baking fee)
Are you a skilled baker? Would you consider yourself an artist? Why don't you combine those talents and make beautiful works of art that you can eat! We will be learning how to “paint” with royal icing, draw with pancake mix, and make gorgeous galaxy bark that will be almost too pretty to eat. If you want to sharpen your artistic side while also working on your culinary skills, then this is the perfect camp for you!
This camp is for the team player out there who dreams of traveling the world. Just like the popular TV show, our Amazing Race camp centers around teams competing in different challenges in order to win a prize. Your active child will be thinking outside of the box to solve problems and will work together with their team to complete complicated tasks. Do you have what it takes to race around the world with your team?
Week Four: July 31st - August 4th
Studio Art ** ($10 Supply Fee)
Calling all finger-painters, sketchers, painters, and stick figure drawers alike! You don’t need to be the next Picasso to make artwork that is 100% refrigerator-worthy. From watercolor and canvas to calligraphy and oil paint, there are plenty of mediums for your child to explore within this class. This is the time to let you imagination fly onto the canvas! We will not only be looking at classical artists, but each camper will be able to develop their own artistic style throughout the week!
Leaders of Tomorrow
Are you a natural born leader? Do you posses the skills necessary to take control of a situation and guide people? Regardless if the answer is yes or no, this camp is perfect for anybody who is looking to develop his or her leadership skills. With a mix of team building games interpersonal, as well as intrapersonal development activities, there is no doubt that any future leader of tomorrow will benefit from this camp.
Do you think you have what it takes so survive being trapped on an island with nothing but your wit and natural resources? Don’t worry, we won’t be going to that extreme, but you will need to bring your A-game to complete in different team challenges with your tribe. Throughout the week, you will sharpen your leadership and teamwork skills in order to be the tribe on top.
Week Five: August 7th - August 11th
How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse
Between the countless television shows, movies, and video games, it’s clear that our culture is obsessed with the idea of the dead coming back to life. In Zombie Apocalypse camp, you will spend a week immersed in a world that has just been stricken by the walking dead, learning emergency preparedness, first aid skills, and practical survival skills. Campers will divide into clans, search for necessary items (such as food, water, and shelter) and navigate tough challenges that will keep them on their toes throughout the week.
The next generation of business owners and entrepreneurs is being led by young adults, and they are changing the world we live in. In Startup, we will explore entrepreneurship by developing our own business/product for a week and learning about what it means to be an entrepreneur. Campers will gain real world knowledge about marketing skills and business development during the week. The final day of camp will be an open marketplace where campers will be able to "sell" their product to the rest of the camp.
Cooking Around the World ** ($10 Cooking Fee)
Let your taste buds travel to new lands this summer! In this camp, we will taste decadent cuisines from different places all over the world. From France to Central America, you will learn about other cultures’ delicacies and get to try your hand at making them yourself! Sometime during the week, each camper will be assigned a culture to learn about, not only food, but traditions and customs that make each culture unique. Each camper will get to take home a packet of recipes that we cook over the week to share with family and friends.
